Skype is definitely one of the most popular video chat service of today, and what that honor entails is the fact that there would be a large user base, which currently stands at 25 million people for Skype. So when you have that many people using your service, one can expect them to be a little frustrated when the service goes down, which it actually has. Users of Skype are intermittently facing issues accessing the service this morning.
Skype has accepted that it indeed is facing service issues, something which they’ve accepted via a tweet which says:
Some of you may have problems signing in to Skype – we’re investigating, and we’re sorry for the disruption to your conversations.
Some people were able to log on to Skype, but they could not see any of their contacts, which means that their logging on is of no good, and as the service experiences issues, users have taken to twitter to rant about their frustrations regarding the downtime Skype is going through.
We can only hope that the service is fully restored in as less time as it could possibly be, as many users would definitely be fearing an outage the likes of what Skype faced back in 2007. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
How badly are you affected by Skype’s current outage? Let us know in your comments below.
