Microsoft Word was initially developed in 1983 and has steadily grown to a indispensable part of everyday computing. Using said software has become easier through the years and with the new added features has been able to do so much more. However, some features have yet to make it to Word; one of which is upside down writing. In Word, you can only turn text 90 degrees, which makes it virtually impossible to invert text without use of a little creativity and elbow grease.
Difficulty: Moderately EasyInstructions1Start Word.
2Create a new document in landscape print format.
3Create a table utilizing 2 cells by clicking "Insert" and "Table."
4Type the text you want upside down in 1 cell. For this example we'll use the left side.
5Type the text you want right-side up in the other cell. For this example we'll use the right side.
6Right-click the left cell and select text direction. Rotate this 90 degrees left.
7Right-click the right cell and select text direction. Rotate this 90 degrees right.
8Remove the border from the table.
Tips & WarningsFormatting can be tricky when rotating your text, so complete it vertically before you rotate. If you cannot get the effect you need, you can always print what you need upside up and rotate the paper after printing 180 degrees and print again. References Word 2000 Solution Center
